Heartwell Clubhouse Renovation Project

Clubhouse Master Plan smBeginning in early November, American Golf and the City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine will begin a renovation of the Clubhouse at Heartwell Park Golf Course. The project will be paid for using funds from the Golf Capital Improvement Fund, which is created from a percentage of all green fees paid on all City of Long Beach courses.

The project includes the following major components

  • The existing restrooms will be enlarged and brought up to Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines
  • The Café will be renovated with new carpet, fixtures, furniture and big screen TVs as well as a double-door exit onto the patio
  • The foyer between the restrooms and Café will be turned into an informal lounge-sitting area
  • The Pro Shop will get all new fixtures and displays, the counter will be moved to so as to back up to the north wall allowing a view of the golf course, and a sitting area will take the place of the current counter
