Tee Renovation Project set for Big Rec

Tee-Box-Project-003_400x200Beginning on approximately July 26th, a major tee box renovation project will begin at Recreation Park 18 Golf Course.

The tee boxes on holes #2, #3, #4, #5 downhill, #7, #10, #12, #13, #14, #16 and #18 will be enlarged, levelled and re-sodded with kikuyu grass over a 1-2 month period. Similar to the projects completed on the uphill tee box on #5 and the tee box on #16 at Big Rec and to #3, #9 and #12 at El Dorado, this will make for better teeing areas and the ability to move the tees around to spread wear and tear on the tees.

During the construction phase of the project, no more than 2 tee boxes will be impacted at any one time for construction and a small area of each tee will be opened immediately for daily play so as to lessen the impact to patrons as much as possible.

We appreciate your cooperation in playing from any temporary tee boxes as we improve the playing quality of "The Park".
