Play Golf America Day A Big Success

Play-Golf-America-Day-flyer_400x200

Several hundred people (young and old!) visited Heartwell Park GC on Saturday, April 16, for Play Golf America Day, sponsored by the Southern California Section of the PGA of America, American Golf Corporation and the City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine.

Members of the PGA of America offered free golf instruction, companies like Callaway, Cleveland, TaylorMade and Titleist conducted demonstrations of their newest technological advances, and various games and competitions were provided to all participants (with an emphasis on kids!).

Play Golf America Day is designed to both introduce the game to beginners, and provide information and resources to those that already play the game. For more information, contact the Southern California PGA.
