Collins Holds off Pouliot in Senior Amateur

Collins3_400x200A completely full field of over 200 senior golfers completed the first event of the 2011 Long Beach Golf Festival at Recreation Park GC on Friday, May 20.

Long-time Long Beach golfer Mel Collins, Jr., held off Burbank’s Dan Pouliot in a tight battle for the overall Championship. For winning, Collins receives an exemption into this year’s Long Beach Open, to be held July 28-31, at El Dorado and Skylinks GCs.
