Pearl_Sinn_thumbPEARL SINN-BONANNI – Although Pearl grew up in Bellflower, she participated in countless junior and amateur tournaments in Long Beach and surrounding areas and is a member of the Virginia Country Club.

While she won the LPGA Tour’s State Farm Rail Classic in 1998, her greatest achievement was likely winning the 1988 US Women’s Amateur and US Women’s Amateur Public Links Championships in the same calendar year. When she accomplished that feat, she became only the second person in history to hold two USGA titles at once, the other being Robert Tyre Jones. Pearl repeated as the WAPL Champion in 1989.

As her playing career wound down, she tried some TV commentary for the LPGA Tour, and in 2009 was named the Head Women’s Golf Coach at Cal State Fullerton, which had just added the sport.
