Over the past 4 months, over $500,000 from the City’s Golf Capital Improvement Fund (funded by 10% of every green fee paid on the Long Beach Golf Courses) was invested into a major refurbishment of the Golf Pro Shop, Café and restrooms at Heartwell Park GC. Improvements included complete renovation of the restrooms to make them larger and ADA Accessible; reorganization of the Golf Pro Shop to move the counter and give a “vista view” of the golf course; all new furniture in the pro shop, patio and restaurant including new big screen TVs; complete repainting of the exterior of the building and a new roof. Thanks to architect Jonathan Glasgow of Interstices Architecture for his work on revitalizing the Mid-Century Modern architecture style.
