She also served as the Skylinks representative to the Long Beach Municipal Golf Commission for 9 years, and interacted with hundreds of Long Beach golfers as an employee in the Golf Reservation Office. Robin has won multiple Club Championships at Rec Park, Skylinks and the Executive Business Women's Club. She also has multiple runner-up finishes to fellow Hall of Famer Shirley Johnston at El Dorado. Robin has also been active in So Cal WPLGA Team Play competitions for nearly three decades with 15 Division Championships and has multiple flight wins in the Santa Barbara and Long Beach Women's Championships.
J-McCann thumb   John McCann – John is a local boy who took up golf after returning from the Vietnam War. Golf in general and the Recreation Park South Course in particular, are John McCann's passion. He has been a tireless proponent of "Little Rec" as a place for youth, beginners, seniors and members of the South Course Men's Club to be introduced to the game, or as a place for them to continue playing the game. He has been a member of the Men's Club for over 40 years, serving in many leadership positions including President, and hosting the monthly "McCann Open" on meeting days as a way for Club members and guests to meet, interact and have fun at the game and course he loves. As well as being a tireless worker in many capacities at the South Course, John served 11 years on the Long Beach Municipal Golf Commission, with 4 years as Chairman, and has become an integral supporter of, and fund raiser for, the Long Beach Golf Local League during its formation and early growth periods.
D-Wright thumb   Dennis Wright, PGA – When Dennis retired from the US Army in 1997 after 23 years and a tour of duty leading a battalion of men from the 3rd Armored Division in the Desert Storm Gulf War, he moved to Long Beach. He began working at Recreation Park 18 giving lessons and managing the Tournament Office, before committing himself to becoming a member of the PGA with a goal of introducing the game he loved to non-golfers, particularly youth. Dennis moved to Heartwell Park GC and when he earned his membership in the PGA of America, he became the Head Golf Professional there in 2007. You can almost always find Dennis on the driving range giving junior lessons or helping with the acclaimed Long Beach Junior Golf Association. Dennis volunteers well over 100 hours a year to the various programs at Heartwell as well as going offsite to conduct introductory clinics for the Long Beach Unified School District's Adaptive Program, Special Olympics or Wounded Warriors, and as a Rules Official for the Long Beach Golf Festival. In 2010, Dennis was recognized by the Southern California Section of the PGA as the Metro Chapter Junior Golf Leader, a well-deserved honor saluting his love of introducing his favorite game to kids.
